ONE COUNTRY
Every state, one continuous attempt. From Hawaii and Alaska through the West, Midwest, South and East Coast, finishing in New York.
Beginning in Hawaii on October 9 and finishing in New York on November 1, Will Goodge will attempt to run a marathon in every U.S. state in just 24 days.
Every state, one continuous attempt. From Hawaii and Alaska through the West, Midwest, South and East Coast, finishing in New York.
Will has already crossed continents on foot. This time, the challenge isn’t only the distance. It’s how quickly he has to recover, move and be ready to run again.
Running 1,310 miles is only possible if everything between the miles works. Aviation, ground transport, nutrition, recovery, sleep, crew and timing all have to come together to keep the attempt moving.
Every finish line starts another countdown. Will has to recover, refuel and get to another state before doing it all again.
Some transfers happen by RV. Others require commercial or private aviation. Every hour spent moving is an hour that can’t be spent sleeping or recovering.
That’s what makes this attempt so complicated: the clock keeps moving even when Will isn’t running.
