3,011 miles. 55 days.
Will ran from Los Angeles to New York, learning what it takes to keep moving across a continent through fatigue, weather, pain and thousands of miles of road.
Will has run across America. He has run across Australia. Mission America asks him to take everything he has learned from those efforts and apply it to a very different challenge: a marathon in all 50 states in 24 days.
Will ran from Los Angeles to New York, learning what it takes to keep moving across a continent through fatigue, weather, pain and thousands of miles of road.
His run across Australia pushed that experience even further, requiring enormous daily mileage and the ability to recover quickly enough to keep doing it day after day.
Will began running after losing his mom, Amanda, to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2018. What started as a way to process that loss became something much bigger. Every major project since has raised money and awareness for people affected by cancer.
Normally, you finish a marathon and recovery begins. During Mission America, Will finishes one and immediately starts preparing for the next.
He has to eat, recover, travel, sleep when he can, wake up somewhere else and run another 26.2 miles. The team and systems around him are a major part of whether that works.
From training to race day, follow the attempt through Will’s eyes.
